Our intentions for compiling this book are to inspire an increase in love, knowledge, connection and obedience towards the Prophet ﷺ, by the comprehension of the poems through their English translations.
User-friendly text layout and designLittle or no page turning required per qaṣīda or chapter. Allowing readers to have a greater distraction free experience, whilst also making it easier for drum players to play. Due to the layout of the text, all the mentioned content fits into just 199 pages, making it light and usable too.Additionally, stop signs have also been placed at the end of each qaṣīda, choruses are emboldened, and every couplet has been marked with a glyph of alternating lightness and darkness, making it easy to continually jump between chorus and verse.
New, clear English translations in easy to grasp languageWe worked closely with a team of translators to help express the meanings of the qaṣā’id in clear, easy to grasp language. Although no translation will match the original work, these translations should hopefully help the reader get a better sense of what the original author intended.
Designed to be used as a functioning songbookWe wanted to create something that would be used in gatherings, could have notes written on and marked according to the readers preference. Although much care was placed on the cover and internal design, our aim was to create something that readers would want to use and take with them on a daily basis.

One Breath at a Time may be a teeny tiny thing, but it sure does pack a punch! A book about coping with grief and adversity. You might think you don’t need this book because you’ve never lost a loved one or been through a divorce or suffered a life-changing Illness etc, but we all go through testing times and we all try to cope with life’s happenings however we can. This book shows you how to draw on faith for strength and I particularly enjoyed the author’s references to Quranic verses at certain times in her life – it’s clear she’s built a relationship with it to connect so powerfully. She has brought some food and water for you.” And then he added: “When she comes in, give her the greetings from her Lord and tell her that there will be a house made of pearls for her in Paradise where there will be neither hardship nor any clamour.” When Khadija arrived, the Prophet said to her: “Here is Jibril. He is giving greetings to you from your Lord and he himself is greeting you.” Khadija replied: “God is peace and He is the source of all peace! May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you, O Messenger of Allah. And my greeting to Jibril!”
